The other feature I don't like is the T Tracks are terminated at each end which makes it difficult to make up jigs due to the restricted travel. I have made a few but the tracks are also a non standard size so short runners have to be cut. Luckily this is bread and butter stuff for the Workcentre. Safety wise, the overhead saw guard works very well it has a extraction hose connector which
Designed for multipurpose applications such as ripping, cross and mitre cuts of timber, chipboard and plywood. The saw can also be tilted up to 45° for accurate bevel cuts. For safety a push stick is included with its own holder where it is always within reaching distance. Dust extraction from the rear of the saw will keep the work area clean
Six cuts later I had all of the rip cuts done and laid out on my work surface according to the layout diagram. Then it was on to the crosscutting. I used my table saw for this instead of my miter saw as some of the pieces were a little small. A magnetic base
I've come up with a couple jigs that work with a dust extractor and a circular saw that allow for near dustless cuts. Being able to make all the rip cuts, crosscuts and notches right along side of where the flooring is being installed is a huge time saver.
The simplicity of your saw project is very smart! I am such an a rookie when it comes to power tools and since your project outlines so many specifics that make the process easy for me. I probably wouldnt be the best critic of the work, but it proved an easy way to achieve the same cuts for my planter boxes. Thanks for the money saving
